Growing up all these years specially for us Born in 80’s had a special affection for Television . Till Late 80’s , Only Doordarshan was used to be our window of world and that too in Black & White for me . “Chitrahaar ” , ” Byomkah Bakshi ” & ” Ramayan ” used to be topic of discussion at recess break at school . With Early (0’s Come trend of few satellite channel which used to broadcast English Movies over weekend .Most of those used to be either UK /US originated like 1950’s Classic or South Asian One’s.
Although with our limited command over English Taught in “Hinglish ” School , most of the content used to go above the head . But between those boring one comes the Movie with Action paced punches and human fighting with bare hands /legs just at a speed lower than light and it always used to left u our mouth wide open . Those were all Kung Fu , Karate , Chip- chop or whatever the technique used to called inspired action movies . Those made us dream of going to some far flung places in mountains covered with snow and find a dwarf size white master who will train and teach all those moves and make us a super human . The Crazinees was such that , among bunch of my sibling and friends we tried some moves at home /school and broke few bones too . But that stuff was like a style statement for us and it unknowingly made us a big fan of Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee .
As the time went by and we crossed various stages of life , but the fascination towards Kung – Fu never faded , rather kept on getting stronger . While Bruce Lee is a Hardcore Practitioner of art and his movies was all about showcasing this form to the world . But Jackie chan ones were totally commercial movies with an appeal to global audience . It has Emotion , Drama , Action and Lots of Humor . With Jackie’s association with Big Studio of Hollywood , his work was released even in multiplex’s of Metro city in India . So over the years , While World was aware of his acting skills , his real life work made him a Person better than he appeared in a movie script .

Jackie , Born in HongKong , is truly one of the international film industry’s true maverick actor / director / stuntman / producer combinations . Off screen he has been directly involved in many philanthropic ventures providing financial assistance to schools and universities around the world. Fortunately , during my recent trip to china , Lady Luck smiled on me and I got a chance to attend 60th Birthday Celebration of JACKIE CHAN with the star himself . He really Inspired me what’s the real meaning of being ” Down to the ground ” is and never let worldly success overpower your inner human and always give back to society much more than what you get from them

My Side , My View ! 
The story of a Legend in himself – that’s how I will describe it in a short sentence. Very well written with the pics which enhances the simplicity yet greatness of the Man..Salutations and very happy for you to have got inspired and bringing out your best in life.
My answer: Tata is a name which any and every person can rely on for its honesty, commitment and perseverance. Lionel Messi is a legend who has carved his name in history books with total dedication to the game, simple living and improvisation which is seen with each game he plays. The association of Tata Motors and Lionel Messi as their Brand Ambassador will definitely give an edge to the Tata group over its competitors solely because the brand Ambassador also holds the same reputation of not letting his fans down ever, like Tata Motors who have given the best to the world over the decades. Its an exemplary association par excellence.

Jackie Chan is in fact a legend who needs no introduction He is not just a fine actor and a movie celebrity but also a Philanthropist who has done a lot to help the underprivileged. Indeed a very worthy person to write about and yours is a well written post that brings back memories of childhood

The association of Tata Motors with Lionel Messi is that of two greats just like Like Lionel Messi has been exceptionally talented who with his hard work, determination and sacrifices has got better and tougher in his chosen sport so is the Image, reputation and quality of TATA Motors that have transformed brilliant ideas into masterpieces of engineering and created a brand and products that we are so proud of as Indians. Lionel Messi has transformed his body and the mind-body co-ordination into a masterpiece of precision and excellence it would not be wrong to say that Lionel Messi is the TATA Motors of sports where as TATA Motors is the Lionel Messi of vehicles both giants in their own spheres driven by the drive to excel and lead by example.

I’m a great fan of Kung-fu, karate and even tried for a few months to learn some moves 😛 It was an utter disaster and the colour of my belt never changed 😦 But I just love to watch the moves, swift, supple, serpentine, deadly. The masters are being Bruce Lee and yes, Jackie Chan!
But, I think, as you’ve mentioned, not many people know about the enormous philanthropic activities of Jackie, whereas, when one of the Khans or Big B donates something, that becomes a headline.

As for Tata Motors’ association with Lionel Messi, I think Messi is the ‘messiah’ of the game of football. His dribbling, his passes, his determination to reach the “goal” is just incredible! He is the right person to be the global brand ambassador of Tata Motors, a company which single-handedly has changed the definition of car industry in India. A name that Indians trust and believe in its supremacy The collaboration is great because both Messi and TM, are a class apart in their respective fields. And, as we all know, form is temporary, but class is permanent… 🙂 The vehicles of Tata Motors are as much dependable on roads as Messi is in the field with his wonderful moves, both bringing smiles to a million faces.

Tata Motors’ association with Lionel Messi spells a significantly notable alliance that will steer the company towards favourable benefits. I always acknowledge Tata Motors as a distinctive name in Auto industry, which will not let the success ‘larger-than life’ elude from its fate now with a timeless guild with iconic figure Messi. I don’t see this union of Tata Motors as an aspirational effort for garnering some quick publicity and evoke specific reaction from myriad crowd with Celeb branding, but is rightly an embellished handshake for keeping up the pace to get to the pinnacle of success graph. To sum things up, I am joyous to see the brand and the star uniting for ‘One in a Million’ #madeofgreat power-packed drive ahead 🙂

It seems it is a wedlock of two functional bodies with similar strengths..i.e Trust ,Reliability & assurance of emerging as a winner.
TATA brand name itself spreads a positive aura & by choosing Forward player Lionel Messi as Tata Motors Brand Ambassador clearly depicts their Code of conducts & signifies that something big ,reliable ,long lasting is awaited to be launched by them.
Just as arrival of Messi on the ground spreads cheer amongst the fans & panic among the competition ,similar would be the future of Tata motors when they launch their products be in small medium or elite segment. All of us should say..hey wait..Tata motors is launching something with best design ,best features & best price..No competition will stand against them!

You must surely be feeling on cloud 7 when you meet such a dynamic personality Jackie .. He is recognized for his Humanitarian practices across globe and I have seen work done by his foundation in UK and Australia Personally . So , it’s a right way to pay regards to his work.
Regarding Tata and Messi , Messi is known to be Another Maradona , a player for whom football ground is a canvas and ball is the brush which he uses to create a Painting which leave the observers stunned . It took years to master those skills and similar can be said for TATA MOTORS . Right from Indica to recently announced ZICA to NANA . they have planned their product very well for target consumer and this deal is a win – win for both to expand and grow each other’s fan base . Surely Trust , Loyalty , Brand , Humbleness and Attention to their Fan/Customers applies to both of them .. Definitely this will gain a INDIAN BRAND desired Global Eyeballs and may be ” HAND OF GOD ” was behind this deal 🙂

Tata and Messi , I believe Maradona or Pele would have been a Better choice a the Brand has decades of Histroy and they need a Old time legend whereas Messi would have worked well for Jaguar or Land rover . But let’s see how thing work out as Indian brands are signing many International name as micromax with Hughman ..

Excellence,
Legacy,
Immortality.
These are not mere words but a part of our soul. Not just the ones that we carry around in our individual bodies but that supreme soul that binds us all together in this universe. That is why we teach our children values and morals so that these little pockets of our souls do not die away. But when we look around at our modern day lifestyle and society,it leaves a lot to be desired, right? Wrong 🙂 I would say,as long as we have even 1 shred of humanity left,there is a ray of sunshine and that is what we see here.
I am inspired by your story just as I am inspired by the stories of Tata Motors and Lionel Messi. As I said above about humanity and ray of sunshine, it is very few icons left in this world who make me feel that way. Both Tata and Messi definitely make it to this short list.
When we talk about Tata Motors,we talk about the pride that every Indian feels because this is our truly global brand, a brand with a soul, with every product made to help us fly. This is a corporate behemoth that has not amassed its fortunes at the cost of the little man but by being a part of the very grassroots. The legacy of excellence and giving back to the society selflessly is so ingrained in Tata DNA that it has become part of folklore. Even today,in any Indian home, the moment a son/daughter gains employment in a Tata company, nobody talks about salary or CTC, they just thank their lucky stars that they are a part of Tata family. The very soul of India resides in Tata. Tata Motors has taken these very same values global, making Indians proud of what they represent. ‘Look,we represent excellence, with a dollop of old world values, with love and respect’ !
When we look at Messi, we see a boy with dreams in his eyes and a man who has put everything he had in making them come true, and he did! With singleminded focus,dedication and hardwork, he has managed to outdo every obstacle he faced since his birth personally, healthwise and family financial situation wise. Every obstacle became just another step for him to grow and reach up the sky. And still, every time he walks out on the field, he plays with the same agility, alarcity and a a hunger to prove himself as if it is his first game! He hasn’t achieved his demi-God status without superhuman efforts.
When these two demi-Gods of their respective fields come together, there are bound to be fireworks and that is exactly what it is! Purely from a corporate point of view, there are rare instances when we see such a perfect fit form. It can be called a divine sign that a symbol of vibrancy and dynamism like no other has taken shape with the partnership of Tata Motors and Lionel Messi. More than a mere advertising gambit,it is an amalgamation of those perhaps ‘lost’ values that the world needs more of,now more than ever. Maybe the Gods are finally happy!

Man jackie chan has always been an inspiration and a role model for me too!
Since i look a bit like a chinese baby ( :P) my parents een sent me as to a fancy dress competition in LKG dressed as him, and guess what? I won 😀
Before all these new hollywood actors started showing off all their muscles on scree, this little man took us by storm, i still remember who am i, that scene where he slides down the empire tate building, all these stunts for what? just to entertain us! What a hero!

I think Tata have hit their ace game with this association with Messi!
There is no better footballer in the world today than Messi himself, likewise there is no better company worldwide that is better than tata!
Messi’s ability to quickly maneuver with the ball past the other team’ defence is just as slick as the tata cars’ ability to easily maneuver past all the other cars in road race.
Just like messi’s vision, to see a player making a run, to play the perfect ball to create a goal scoring opportunity, Tata’s ability to envision the future and see what people will want and deliver it every single time is amazing!
Just like how Messi has won multiple player of the year awards, tata has also won multiple awards over the years for amazing performance.
And last but not the least, just like how messi never gets tired on the field, tata keeps going and never stops !
Messi, for sure, IS the BEST choice tata could have gone with 🙂
