It is difficult to decide whether this show is influenced by politics played in power corridors of White House or real life leaders are getting inspired by this show for setting their national and international policies.
Very few TV shows have been able to achieve such popularity amongst the audience and critics as House of Card has been able to do. Since 2013, already 4 seasons of this show have been broadcasted and the great news is, it has received rating close to 9 on scale of 10 on Imdb.com every time. Isn’t that super awesome?
This TV series is an adaptation of a similar BBC mini show aired in 90’s . The show revolves around Frank Underwood (Kevin spacey) and his wife Claire Underwood (Robin Wright). Both of them with support of their few loyalist’s are on a mission to achieve the “impossible”. To conquer the epitome of power, the seat of White House, to became the President of United States of America, their greed list is long enough.
Seasons 1-2 focussed on their unorthodox strategy, manipulative & deceptive skills and out of league ways to reach the top. Season 3 & 4 reflected their art of survival while people make every attempt to de-throne them using any legally correct or incorrect possible means.
Talking about actors, everyone specially the lead actors have done a phenomenal job, creating an strong recognition which is irreplaceable for any new entrant. Dialogue’s, costumes, facial expressions, eye movements, pitch of tone are just perfectly delivered. Even the use of direct narration by Kevin with viewers between the show is well timed.

Starting Scene shows Clarie narrating story direct to the audience in first 30 sec of show, which may hint that she is going to overpower Frank and be the lead character for the rest of season. Also, there are few more explosions reported in Chapter 53, favouring Frank’s stand to go on war with ICO. And yes, the Idea of putting Homecoming of Terror in the minds of AMERICAN People is working! Its a bloody evil story!
